Chante Moore receives extreme criticism for new song “Jesus, I Want You”

Former R&B singer and now gospel singer, Chante Moore, is receiving more and more criticism for her new song “Jesus, I want you”. Social media went crazy after Chante’s performance of her new song on a recent episode of R&B Divas LA.

From her outfit selection in church, to her song many believe was a secular song not good enough for mainstream then changed to gospel by placing the word “Jesus” in front, made viewers not too happy.

Kelly Williams said “I’m tired of people who career fall off, then switch to gospel to make money”

“Why will you wear that dress knowing you are going to perform in the house of the Lord. #NoRespectAnymore” Jessica Langley wrote

Many christians are using this as a conversation to discuss and compare the recent controversy of Meagan Good’s outfit choice worn at the BET awards as she presented the Best Gospel Album award.

Are people making too much of this topic? Are Christians being too judgmental? And was Meagan Good right when she said, “It’s OK for Christians to be sexy”?

Let us know. You can watch Chante’s performance of “Jesus, I Want You” below. She starts singing at the 37:05 mark.
